If you're heading to your local comics shop tomorrow, Christmas Eve (and Lord knows you probably have nothing more important to do), why not check the racks for Final Crisis Secret Files #1 - The Origin of Libra, written by your humble blogger and illustrated by the talented Tony Shasteen. It's all behind this knockout cover by the extraordinary Frank Quitely...
It's my first regular writing gig for DC Comics in a number of years, but by no means my last. I've got a lot of stuff coming up over the next several months and I'll let you know about it as we get closer to the release dates. In the meanwhile, put something nice for yourself under the tree and pick up a copy of Secret Files. I promise you won't be disappointed.

I've been waiting to read this story for nearly thirty-five years. The fact that you're the one writing it at last is an unexpected pleasure.
Holy crap, this is fantastic news. I'm loving the revival of your concepts going on at DC, and this is just icing on the cake - can't wait for your S/B Annual, too.
On a side note, though, Final Crisis Secret Files has been delayed until next week. :(
Just getting into comics (Buffy and Angel hooked me), so I'll check it out. But not tomorrow...
Happy Holidays all!
Len, as someone else noted, it looks like the book isn't shipping until next week...

Len, I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to this. You are a leged, and seeing your work as part of Final Crisis will be a dream come true.
The Libra issue was my very first issue of JLA when I was a kid. Like so many others, I always assumed I was the only person who remembred this one-off villain. So to see him pulled back into the limelight is just a delight. Looking forward to seeing exactly what happened to him after he gained the power of the half the universe.
Len, I am so glad you got to write this story - given that it was you who created Libra all those years ago. I was a kid when that JLA issue came out and loved it. So glad to hear you'll be doing more issues for DC.
Len,
I hope you had a nice holiday season. I look forward to reading the "Secret Files" and adding a few dimes to your pension fund.
By the way, congratulations on Sen. Obama's victory. While it wasn't the result I wanted, I take heart in knowing his victory made decent people happy.
Oh, and I received Marv Wolfman's "Homeland" for Christmas. What a nice book. If anyone is interested in the history of Israel, I highly recommend this book. I took two Jewish Studies classes at Ohio State last year and the book covers all the main topics and more. Nice illustrations by Mario Ruiz.
