Help! Help! Oh, Help!

Okay, all you electo-mavens out there. My beloved Palm Tungsten T5 is making my life a living hell. For some inexplicable reason, my screen no longer responds to the stylus. I can maneuver around the screen by pressing the buttons on the bottom of the PDA, but when I touch the stylus to the pressure-sensitive screen to input data, or highlight something or whatever, nada. No response. No reaction. Now, I've already tried resetting it repeatedly to no avail, and I've cleaned under the rim of the screen with a business card in case something was pressing on the screen under there. Again, no reaction.

So, please, if one of you out there has any idea how to fix this sucker so I don't have to buy myself a new one, please let me know ASAP. I'm tearing out what little hair I have left.

Thanks in advance for whatever help you can give.

I feel your pain. The digitizer went on my less-than-a-year-old e|2, and I ended up downgrading to the z22. You are not alone, btw. This has been happening to everybody. You probably need to replace the digitizer.

I had a digitizer problem and ended up installing PowerDigi, which is a digitizer replacement program. It helped a great deal. I costs around $16. You can find it at palmpowerups.com.

For whatever it is worth, I have a T2 and I had the same problem. As best as I could tell, the screen went bad and I had to get a new one. Wish I had better news/experience to share Mr Wein.

Okay, this is also an answer that will not help. However Len, if you could help me that would be great. I am writing an article for a philosophy journal (I'm a professor of philosophy who has started writing about comics - feel free to check me out on amazon.com) I've sent out, and received some answers from various comic book artists this week but haven't heard from any writers. I would love to have your input. I won't post the questions here, but you can email me at kane_ca@yahoo.com and I can send them to you (FYI I also sent them to Steve Bissette who you may know haha) Best, and I look forward to hearing from you!
