At some moment this morning, when we least expected it, it became Spring once more. Instantly, grass began growing, birds began singing, flowers began blooming. Windows were flung open to let in the crisp new air and a great Huzzah was heard from the grateful gathering masses. One would think such a bright and eager omen would mean that the long, dark Winter of our discontent was at long last over.
Yes, one would certainly think so, wouldn't one?

Thanks a lot for reminding me that the grass is now growing...now I have to get ready to start mowing my yard again! Dadgummit it!
By the way, ever since I was a kid and read your name a gazillion times in my comics, I've always wondered: how do you pronounce your last name? When I was a kid, I used to think it was pronounced WHEN, I guess just because it rhymed with Len. But now I'm thinking it's pronounced WINE. Or maybe I'm just totally off and it's pronounced WEEN.
It's WEEN. Correcting people can be a challenge. I was in an audience where a fan insisted he was pronouncing it incorrectly. Although spelled the same as the photographic equipment (Wein makes flash meters and similar stuff), it isn't pronounced the same way
Well that figures! I was off on both accounts! I saw Len at the Superman Celebration in Metropolis, IL, last summer and I didn't even think to ask him. I got reminded of him last night when I was looking at the new hulu.com site that has a lot of TV shows to watch and I came across the old Swamp Thing show. I used to watch it all the time.
